Something About Me Saturday

I missed a few weeks of the Something About Me Saturday blog hop, but I am back at it now! Our weekends are so busy, that sometimes it's hard for me to get a post up. I have been trying to work on them ahead of time, but sometimes it doesn't work out.

I want to say thanks to Disney Bird for hosting this great hop! It really is a fantastic idea and I love reading all these posts and getting to know all of you better!

This week I wanted to let you in on a little secret of mine . . . ok maybe it's not a secret, but I love Twilight! Yes, I am officially a Twilight mom :)

A few years ago, a little after the first movie came out, a friend of mine told me that I needed to read the Twilight series books. I had heard of them before and being the way I am (not wanting to follow the masses) I did not want anything to do with them. She promised I would love them, so I borrowed her books and read all 4 within just a few days. I would stay up until 3 in the morning just to get a little bit more of the story. I fell in love with the writing, the story, the characters - all of it!

Then I bought the movie and it was great to be able to put faces to the characters whom I had grown to love. Of course, I think my favorite casting was for Edward. Yes, I am Team Edward all the way! Since my hubby is half Puerto Rican - and has an aversion to vampires for some reason - he is Team Jacob. When New Moon came out, my friends and I - along with a friend's hubby and mine - went to the midnight show. It was fantastic and had us wanting more already :) Then Eclipse came out last June. I had tickets to go to a wonderful party and see the movie at our local IMAX theater. Unfortunately, I ended up having back surgery just 7 days before the movie was released. But, thanks to my fabulous friends - about a month after my surgery, when I was cleared to leave the house - they took off work and took me to see the movie. It was great!

LOL!

Now, here we are just a little over 3 months away from Breaking Dawn: Part 1 and I am growing more and more excited! I cannot wait to see what they do with parts of the last book, which seem hard to show in a movie. I am really excited about these last two movies - although very sad to see the series come to an end.

I know that I am inching close to 30 (not there yet, but almost), but I love Young Adult book series' like this one. If you have any recommendations - please let me know! My Kindle and I are always looking for something new to read :)

Five on Friday

Last week I listed the top five Signature Restaurants that I wanted to try out in Disney World. If you missed out on the post, you can catch up here!

This week I am going to list the top five Disney Resorts where I would like to stay. Even though we have been to Disney World twice, we have never stayed on site. Our next trip will be the first time staying at a Disney Resort and I am really excited about it! This list is sort of a "dream" list - the resorts that I would love to stay at if money was no object :)

5. The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort - I love the thought of these! I am not a "camping girl" by any means, but I think this would be as close as I could get! I would also love to have a full kitchen, which would help us save with our food budget. Of course, if we stayed here, we would have to rent a golf cart to get around :)

4. Contemporary Resort - I would love to get a Magic Kingdom Fireworks room here! Would it not be awesome to be able to relax in your room and have a perfect view of Wishes, while not having to sit on the hard concrete for an hour with a bunch of pushy, exhausted people?!

Love how the monorail goes right through the resort!

3. Grand Floridian Resort and Spa - Of course, I think this is on everybody's dream list! It would be wonderful to be able to stay here - the epitome of luxury for a Disney vacation for sure!

2. Animal Kingdom Lodge - A Savannah view room would be awesome! I would be able to get up early, sit out on the balcony with a cup of coffee and just enjoy watching all the animals wake up and start their day!

1. Beach Club Resort - This is my husband's and mine top resort. My husband would love to stay here (along with our son) for SAB. It just looks like it would be a fantastic pool and so much fun! I don't think they would ever get out of the water. I would love to stay here because of how close it is to Epcot. While my fam is spending time in the water - I could walk on over to World Showcase and spend my time in all the different countries! It would be the perfect Disney vacation for us :)

Isn't it just beautiful and inviting?!

What is your "dream" Disney Resort? Have you stayed at any of these resorts?

{Destination Disney} The Letter "E"

Hi and welcome to another edition of Destination Disney hosted by Heidi from Reviews and Reflections! If you are new here, welcome and thank you for hopping to check out my blog. If you are a regular follower - thanks for checking me out this week!

This week we are on the letter E. This was a little bit harder for me this week - I couldn't think of many things that started with E, but I did gather up a few pictures from what I have! Crazy as it sounds, I actually don't have a picture of "the golf ball" as we call it, or Spaceship Earth to represent Epcot!

ESPN's Wide World of Sports

Eric from The Little Mermaid

Eeyore

and Tigger too!

He is probably going to kill me if he finds out I put this picture up :)

Five on Friday

In my Five on Friday post last week, I listed my top five snacks I was looking forward to eating on our next trip to Disney World. If you missed out on the post, you can catch up here.

This week I thought I would post the top five Signature restaurants that I am most looking forward to trying out. My hubby and I are hoping to be able to make it down to Disney for our 10th anniversary (not until 2015) just the two of us, and if we do, we will definitely be checking out these places!

5. California Grill - I think I would like to try this one mostly for the view of the Magic Kingdom! I think it would be so wonderful and romantic (not to mention magical!) to have dinner here overlooking the Magic Kingdom while Wishes were going off!!

4. Le Cellier Steakhouse - I have heard so much about this delicious place - especially the cheddar cheese soup and "Moose" dessert. I would love to try this out soon - although if we are going as a family, it would definitely be for lunch when it's only 1 TS credit!

3. Artist Point - I think my husband would like this restaurant the most out of all the Signature restaurants. The menu sounds delicious and I love that it changes seasonally!

2. Flying Fish Cafe - This restaurant just sounds like so much fun! Who wouldn't want to have your food made right in front of you? I would love this for the yummy food and the chef interaction for sure!

1. Victoria & Albert's - I think this is a given. If you are talking about the best place to have a romantic meal at Disney, this is the place everybody thinks about. I would love to be able to eat at the Chef's Table here one time - it would be a dream!

Have you tried any of the Signature restaurants? What are your recommendations for a romantic meal for two?

Something About Me Saturday

Hi there! It's time for another Something About Me Saturday post hosted by Disney Bird! I love joining in on this hop - it's so much fun!! It's really nice getting to know more about these wonderful bloggers that I follow each week!

This week has been pretty exhausting for me - mostly because I have been sick. On Monday, I started feeling really tired and worn down. By Tuesday, I had a sore throat and was really not feeling well. I had a lot to do at work this week, so I went on in on Wednesday, but by lunch I was done. I ended up leaving work and headed straight to the doctor's office. I was there for over 2 hours and after a strep test and blood work, it was determined that I had walking pneumonia. To some, this isn't a very serious issue. Many people walk around with it and never realize they have it. Unfortunately for me, it hits me a little harder than most people. I was hoping after the two wonderful shots that I got from the doctor, the antibiotic, couch medicine, and allergy pill that I would feel well enough to head to work on Friday. Unfortunately I am still not feeling much better and it's already Saturday morning.

Many of my friends and family worry when I get walking pneumonia and believe that I should see a pulmonologist. You might be thinking that it would be a little much, but I have had walking pneumonia 6 times now in the past 2 years. In the Fall of 2009 I had it 2 times between September and December (along with Strep once) and within the same time period in 2010 I had it 3 times. This year it seems to be hitting me a little earlier, so I am hoping that it doesn't mean I am going to get it more this year. I do actually worry a little bit about getting it so much, so I am thinking that if I don't start feeling better soon or get it again within a few months, then I will see a specialist to see if there is anything else going on with me.

I am really hoping that rest this weekend will help me get over it this so I can get back to normal on Monday!

Thanks for joining me this week from the Something About Me Saturday Hop!
